Here's my weekend recap, better late than never right? This weekend I actually did something pretty exciting. We went to our first rock concert ever. So don't get me wrong, I've been to several country music concerts but never a rock concert.
Long story short, a friend of ours gave us two free tickets. We had no clue where the seats would be, and wasn't real sure who was actually playing at this concert. So Saturday afternoon head out and drove 2 hours for this mystery concert.
Once we get to the arena, we go get our tickets. Come to find out we had FLOOR seats. Instantly I have thoughts of mosh pits, and people jumping on top of other people. So once were in the arena I see that there are no chairs down on the ground section which was new to me because every country concert I had been to there had been chairs on the floor section.
Oh yeah I guess you want to know who's play: POD, three days grace and shinedown! We were so excited for three days grace and shinedown but didn't know who the crap POD was. Once the concert starts, everyone runs to the stage and the jumping that I was afraid of started haha! We stayed back away from the crowd and actually had fun once three days grace started.
Needless to say we are by no means rockers! All though we would have much rather had a seat a little higher up we did enjoy it. The funny thing was there are no telling how many people would have enjoyed our tickets and we was wanting tickets off the floor haha!

New look
Today I have spent a little time working on the look of my blog! I didn't like the tradition theme and decided I would like to have a header unique to my blog. After a little work I created a very basic new header that I think looks fresh and unique. This works great for my new start! What do you think about my minimalistic approach??

My Lamp Project!
Long story short I came across these old lamps at my grandmother's house. They had been sitting in an old falling down house for 12 years now and was very very dirty and nearly ruined. I loved the look and wanted to save them. Thus this project began!
So here is the before picture:

I started out by cleaning them up real good, they had a lot of dirt on them. At first my plan was to paint the gold base silver but I thought it would be better to have one even color to bring out the blue. Still don't know if that was the best decision but oh well!
Here's the finished product!

Only one is pictured but there are actually two of them! I absolutely love them but I'm not quite sure where I'm going to put them!

Palmolive Fresh Infusions Review
I was so excited when I received a new box from Influenster. When I received the box I had the opportunity to try out the new palmolive fresh infusion dish soap, which I must say it Ah-mazing! I could not express my excitment when I opened the box to see three full size products. I mean THREE FULL size products is a VERY generous sample! Thank you influenster and Palmolive!
So here is what I thought!
First I smelled each one to see which one smelled the best. The winner is Lemon Thyme. I love the way the it smells, very clean smell. Lemon is the best smell of all cleaning products in my opinion. And of course, being Palmolive, it cleans so
well! It is currently on my counter with only 1/4th of the bottle left!

Second attempt!
I have always wanted my own blog. Following other bloggers and seeing their lives unfold online inspires me try it out as well. So what better time to try blogging again than at the start of a new year. I hope this fresh start will motivate me to get things done, share it with others and gain support from other bloggers! So here we go...
I think I'll start my first official post with some goals I have set for 2013!
The first goal I have set for myself is to becoming an all around better person. I want to be a more positive person and find something good in even my worst days. I also want to learn to let go and allow God to do his work. Trusting in God could improve my life drastically if I could quit planning every moment of my life and allow God to live through me.
The next couple of goals are not quite as deep. I would like to get a little closer to owning my own home and starting a family. And in the meantime I would like to run a 5k.
So hopefully I can meet these goals and you can follow along on this journey with me!

How to organize your coupons!
So now that you have collected bunch of coupons you need to find a way to organize them. The best method I have found is using a binder and baseball card holders. You can find the baseball card holders at walmart near the magazines.
There are 2 ways to organize your coupons: by category or by expiration date. I perfer to organize mine by category that way I can easily find what I need while shopping in the store. I then organize the coupons in that certain category by expiration date. That way when its time to clean out my binder I can easily remove all my expireds.
If you don’t have the time to clip all your coupons every Sunday, you may want to try organizing by date. When using this method, you don’t clip any of my coupons until you use them. Couponers still throw away at least 3/4 of their coupons, so this method saves you from clipping many of the coupons you won’t use anyway.
How to get started!!
1. Tear the inserts apart, careful not to ruin barcodes
2. We get multiple copies of each insert, so we lay the entire insert out on the table, Soon we have 10 copies of the 1st page in a pile, 10 of the 2nd page in a pile, ect.
3. Next, we staple all 10 of the 1st page together, and on down the pages…
4. Then, if you’re organizing by date, write the date on each stapled set and put each stapled set into a clear plastic sheet protector. If you’re organizing by category, start clipping each stapled set and put the coupons into it’s corresponding category!

Organize by Category: More time up front, Less time shopping
- Organizing by category requires a few hours of time each week to clip and organize all your coupons. I usually spend and hour-90 minutes on a Sunday evening getting up to date on all my coupons.
- This method makes preparing to shop quick and easy because your coupons are already clipped and organized! Plus, when you find a clearance item in the store, it only takes 20 seconds to flip to the right category and find the coupon you need.
- Use Baseball Card Holders to hold the clipped coupons (Find at Target, Walmart, eBay, etc). Should be around $5 for 30 pages. You’ll need around 60 pages.
Organize by Date: Less Time Up Front, More Time Getting Ready to Shop
If you don’t have the time to clip all your coupons every Sunday, you may want to try organizing by date. When using this method, you don’t clip any of my coupons until you use them. - Organizing by date will require you get sheet protectors to put each insert into it’s own page- for easy access.
- You’ll also print the Coupon List from Pinching Your Pennies (which gives you an alphabetical list of all the coupons)- so that if you run into a clearanced item- you can find what week the coupon is from and flip right to it
- Another tip if you are going to try out this method, is to write the date (that the coupon came out) on each set- so that if it comes out of the sheet protector you can find it’s home again.
